Practice Areas - Ms. Walters is a civil, and commercial litigation attorney handling matters in State and Federal Courts, including insurance coverage, intellectual property disputes, subrogation actions, professional malpractice, property damage and construction claims. In addition, she handles transactional and commercial real estate matters.
Bar Admissions - Ms. Walters is admitted in the New York State and Connecticut Bars, as well as in the United States District Court, Southern District of New York.
Biography - Ms. Walters was born in New York City. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Cornell University. Upon graduation from Cornell University, Ms. Walters was employed by the Legal Aid Society of New York, as well as The City of New York in programs serving women and children in the NYC homeless shelter system. Ms. Walters authored Potential Ethical Dilemmas Facing Defense Counsel in the Triportite Relationship , Defendant, Spring 2010, The Journal of the Defense Association of New York.
Ms. Walters is a 1998 graduate of St. John’s University School of Law. She then joined the Law Offices of Meagher & Meagher where she practiced medical malpractice and plaintiff’s personal injury in New York and Connecticut state courts. Subsequently, she acquired extensive litigation experience at Cerussi & Spring and Carroll, McNulty & Kull defending general liability matters including construction accidents, civil rights claims, and insurance coverage disputes. She is an active member of the New York State Bar Association, National Hispanic Bar Association and the Westchester County Bar Association.
Ms. Walters joined Harrington, Ocko & Monk in 2006, and became a partner in December, 2008.
