Practice Areas - Mr. Greenberg is a litigation partner handling matters in State and Federal Courts. He has had extensive experience in litigating toxic tort claims, including mass and individual tort claims of lead poisoning, mold, and benzene exposure. Mr. Greenberg has also handled trial and appellate work with an emphasis in construction accidents, premises liability claims, automobile accidents, First Amendment issues, and product liability cases. His experience also includes the defense of insurance companies in first-party claims and coverage matters.
Bar Admissions and Publications - Mr. Greenberg is a member of the New York and New Jersey State Bars. He is also admitted to practice in the Southern and Eastern District Courts of the State of New York. His publications include Surveillance: Out-Takes, co-authored with Glenn A. Monk, NYSBA Tort Insurance and Compensation.
Biography - Mr. Greenberg was born in Mineola, New York and graduated from Tufts University with honors in May, 1989, with a degree in English. Prior to attending the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law, he worked for the National Institute of Health, Office of AIDS research, in Bethesda, Maryland, where he wrote on important national healthcare issues. While at Cardozo, he was given a grant to work for the Legal Aid's Division of Juvenile Rights in the Bronx, New York representing the interests of children in cases involving the termination of parental rights and abuse.
After graduating from law school in 1993, Mr. Greenberg worked for ten years as a Senior Associate at the Law Offices of Michael E. Pressman, where he handled all phases of litigation in a wide variety of cases involving negligent and intentional torts, including significant trial experience in courts throughout New York State. He subsequently became a partner at the law firm of Cozen O'Connor, in the Complex Tort and Product Liability Department, where he specialized in toxic tort cases with a concentration on exposure to lead paint, mold, benzene, and asbestos. He has also handled numerous construction accident cases including construction defect claims in personal injury and property damage cases. Mr. Greenberg has prepared several lectures on issues surrounding premises liability for various bar association groups. Mr. Greenberg joined Harrington, Ocko and Monk as a partner in 2006.
